It is with great sadness that we announce Glen Coffman's passing on March 7, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in Tomahawk, WI, on May 2, 1953, to Robert and Lorna Coffman, Glen lived a full and rich life brimming with love, art, adventure, good food, and laughter.
Earning a BA in English from the University of Wisconsin and a degree in Theater Directing from the University of Arizona, Glen wore several hats, thriving as a chef, baker, teacher, stage actor, director, and photographer. A learned and exceedingly competent individual, Glen could just as easily wield a table saw as bake a souffle.
Glen lived all over America-from Wisconsin, to New York, to San Francisco, to Arizona, to Connecticut. He was a voracious reader and consumer of culture, constantly attending the theatre, trying new restaurants, and visiting museums. He was also a world traveler, globe-trotting to Iceland, Russia, Canada, and across Europe many times; he even lived in Spain for a year teaching English.
A man of keen taste and kind-hearted spirit who modeled compassion and patience, Glen surrounded himself with friends, family, and his pets whom he loved and who deeply loved him in return. But his greatest love, a love story for the ages, was his wife of more than 32 years, Toni Press-Coffman.
Glen is survived by his wife, Toni Press-Coffman; his children, Jessica Mischkot and Andy Press; his grandchildren, Finn and Georgia Mischkot; his sisters, Shirley Voermans and Carol Westaby; his brother, Kevin Coffman; and his pets, Mareeba, Augie, and Ambrose.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lorna Coffman; and his sister, Kathy Seslar.
A celebration of Glen's life will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Rodeway Inn & Suites in Tomahawk, WI, from 12:00 PM until 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to World Central Kitchen  https://donate.wck.org/fundraiser/6189977.
