Eight 10s in Tucson is a festival of eight original ten-minute plays—bold, surprising, and completely unique. Selected from submissions by playwrights across the country and beyond, these short works bring a wide range of voices, styles, and stories together in one fast-paced evening of theatre.
From comedy to drama to the unexpected in between, each piece offers its own distinct world—creating a night that is engaging, varied, and full of discovery. Presented by Winding Road Theatre, the festival reflects a continued commitment to new work and to creating space for fresh perspectives on stage. This year, we’re especially excited to collaborate with fellow members of Tucson’s theatre community. Live Theatre Workshop, Scoundrel & Scamp, and Pima Community College Theatre Arts each join us in directing one or more plays, making this a shared creative effort and a celebration of local artists working together. The result is a dynamic mix of voices—on the page, on the stage, and behind the scenes. Whether you’re a longtime theatre-goer or simply curious to experience something new, Eight 10s in Tucson offers an evening that is lively, thoughtful, and a little bit unexpected. |
